Student stories

Discipline over talent.

Real people, real progress. The method works because the students show up.

Alvin O.

Piano · 14 months

From "what's an E note?" to church keys.

Alvin came in with zero. He didn't know what an E note was. He didn't read music. He didn't own a keyboard.

Fourteen months later he's a member of a large church and plays keys on the worship team. On the day this photo was taken, he was playing in front of about 350 people — and holding his own next to musicians who've been at it for a decade.

Nothing about Alvin's story is about talent. It's about turning up. Every session, every drill, every phrase lifted by ear. That's the method working exactly how it's meant to.
